Meet Optometrist Dr. Emily Hines
Sarah “Emily” Hines, O.D., is an experienced optometrist at Parenti-Morris Eyecare, bringing a passion for improving patients’ visual outcomes. Her personal journey into optometry started at a young age, inspired by her great-grandmother’s struggle with severe macular degeneration. Dr. Hines is dedicated to helping patients achieve better vision and maintaining their ocular health.
Experience
Dr. Hines earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Arkansas and later received her Doctor of Optometry from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry. Originally from Girard, Kansas, Dr. Hines now resides in Bentonville, AR, with her husband, Jared, and their two cats, Avaya and Mabel.
With a focus on specialty contact lenses, Dr. Hines is certified and trained to fit advanced lenses like Ortho-k/CRT and scleral lenses. She specializes in treating patients with abnormal corneas, such as those with keratoconus, corneal transplants, and Pellucid Marginal Degeneration. Her passion is providing patients with vision improvements that traditional correction methods cannot achieve.

Get to Know Dr. Hines
Dr. Hines and her husband both enjoy playing ultimate frisbee and disc golf in their free time. When she isn’t working, she loves staying active through running and biking. The couple attends Fellowship Church in Bentonville, where they enjoy being part of their local community.
